I’m going to introduce some places, which fit to the term “sustainable traveling” in Finland.
Oulanka national park
Where? Oulanka is located in northeast Finland near the border of Russia and Finland.
What? Oulanka is unique combination of northern, southern and eastern nature. Pinewoods, river valleys, rapids and wetlands dominate the landscape. Width of the biodiversity of the region is unexceptional.
What to do? Oulanka is an excellent place to go, if you want to trek and enjoy beautiful nature.

Malla nature reserve
Where? Malla nature reserve is located in one the northmost regions on Finland.
What? Malla is the first and the oldest nature reserve of Finland and it’s administered by forest research institute of Finland.
What to do? Well, there is not too much to do in Malla because of the strict conservation policy. There are, nevertheless, some marked routes where tourist can roam. If you want see something really unique and you are looking some serious wilderness, Malla is place for you.
Turku archipelago
Where? The archipelago is located in southwest Finland and it’s part of Turku city.
What? It is an archipelago with very spectacular views, which is full of different activities and tourism entrepreneurs.
What to do? There are almost endless list of things what you can do in Turku archipelago. You can e.g. go to guided boat trip, go fishing, observe the nature of the region and go in for different sports.

Suomenlinna
Where? Suomenlinna is located in south Finland in the front of Helsinki.
What? A sea fortress built on six islands. Suomenlinna is a UNESCO world heritage site and very popular among tourists.
What to do? You can see an important piece of Finnish history and have a unique visual experience. The area of Suomenlinna is a popular place to go for a picnic and swim in summer.
